My name is Daud Malik and I am the creator of Declamate. As a high schooler who has competed in Declamation for 4 years, and a nominated speaker for William Mason High School on the subject of DEI and How Student Voice Creates an Inclusive Culture, I have realized the importance of public speaking through my experiences.

I first began my journey as a local competitor for my speech league. After years of competitive success, coaching teammates, community service, and even aiding local schools in creating speech and debate chapters in their district, I noticed a consistent pattern: teens not stepping up to create change within their communities.

Declamate exists to provide every student with a voice, and instill confidence in today's youth to not only compete, but foster newfound change.
